This training includes: Classroom content theory on Equipment controls and operation, Regulations & safety, Rollover hazards and the Occupational health & safety act. Practical content is an assessment in operation of the chosen piece or pieces of Heavy Equipment.
This 2 Day, 10-hour (average 5 hours/day) program consists of:

A Certificate will be issued to applicants upon successful completion of the program.
Additional choices of heavy equipment are: Backhoe, Bulldozer, Excavator, Front-end Loader, Rock Truck, Road Grader & Skid Steer
Prerequisites
The following outlines the necessary requirements prior to registration into our program.
- Proof of education
High school transcript, diploma or at minimum a proof of grade 10 English education must be provided to OTDS. An equivalency test is available at OTDS for those who did not complete grade 10, were educated outside of Canada or cannot find their proof of education/transcripts
- Safety Equipment
When training in the Heavy Equipment area students must wear green triangle patch safety boots, class E hard hat, ear protection and velcro tear away safety vest (Provided by OTDS).
